Hi, I’m Michael!
I’m a sound designer and programmer for games.
My objective is to immerse players in amazing virtual worlds.
Like a lot of sound designers, I have a musical background. While studying digital music production at Edmonds Community College in Washington state, I was exposed to sound design and was quickly hooked.
Years later, I financed my own way to Columbia College Chicago to study post-production audio. Now, I’m back in the Pacific Northwest, working in game sound!
In addition to my audio powers, I possess peripheral skills useful for big projects. Here are a few of them:
I am a programmer. I can code in a variety of languages, but I’m particularly proficient in C++.
I am a game engine developer. I’m currently developing a game engine from scratch called Enterprise.
I automate things. I have written shell scripts, shell extensions, and full-on applications in the name of efficiency.
I solder things. I make my own microphone cables, and can complete many electronics repairs myself.
